Snowboarding = calories

I need a suggestion, since I don't know much about heart rate monitors...
I snowboard all winter long and teach on the weekends. I can't wait to see how many calories I burn on the hill and it'll help me when I pre-pack my lunches on how much I can/should be eating.
Do heart rate monitors track your calories? I notice our date base does not show an aprox calorie count for this activity and I'm not sure if I really want to guess at it. I know there are other sites out there that can tell me, but when I teach there's a lot of stopping and going and resting and ripping. It's really up and down the entire day.
Do any of the heart rate monitors track calories?? Is it part of the "watch" or is it something I have to download on my computer??

you have to make sure you have one that does. I have the Polar F6, with a strap around my chest and a wrist watch. It shows me exactly how many calories I have burned.
You set it up with your age, weight and resting heartrate, so I believe it is much more accurate.
Have a great day!!
My son LOVES to snow board....unfortunately we are in FLA so not much chance to do so!!
