So I have been so proud of myself so I am gonna toot my horn a little I have been trying to get healthy for so long but I have commited a week and a half ago ( last 2 Thursdays ago) to ACTUALLY owrking out...I had been eating better for about 2 weeks prior. SO for a week and a half I have worked out (hard) for an hour everyday (but Sunday...hey a girls gotta rest ) I have stayed in 85-max target heart rate and have been burning around 800-900 calories ( I am finding that everyday I am doing the same work but not burning as many calories and I assume this is because my body is getting stronger?) I have lost 7 lbs in the last month and kept it off....I am hoping some part of this is ACTUAL weight and not just water weight....I AM finding now that I have to really PUSH to get my heart rate up, before it was almost a light walk and I was there but now I am finding that I have to WORK to get it up. So when you are working out and your fat voice kicks in and says" its to hard...just give up...20 mins is good enough...you can't do this....what do you do to motivate yourself to keep pushing?:flowerforyou: Thank you!

I pretend Jillian from Biggest Loser is yelling at me!
I also think about how much better my clothes fit, how much better I look in them when I'm not carrying the extra weight.
I also enjoy the extra food I get, those exercise calories can mean the difference between having a glass of wine with my dinner or an extra slice of pizza on a Friday night.0 -
I think about my DH on set (he works in the movie business) everyday around absolutely gorgeous women - women whos JOB it is to be gorgeous. That thought generally hits me when I get to the breaking point on the treadmill, and it will sustain me for at least another 10 minutes. :laugh:0

In the beginning, I remember chanting to myself, "diabetes, high cholesterol, kids, diabetes, high cholesterol, kids." 2 things I want to avoid & 1 thing I need to live a long life for. Now, I find myself chantting, "new wardrobe, almost there, goal weight!"0
