I'm 5'7 and I started at somewhere around 157lbs. I actually got on the scale this morning for the first time in awhile and I weighed in at 132 lbs. I'm not unhealthy looking by any means and if i got down into the 120's, I probably still wouldn't look unhealthy. It all depends on body shape, frame, & how you carry your weight. I would talk to your doctor and see what they think is unhealthy for you.
Edit for brain fart.0 -
I am 165 and my goal is anywhere between 155 and 145. I began at 185.
I was 135 right after high school and I was sickly thin. I have a larger build and can get muscled, so I think my body was angry with me at the time! I always felt really weak.
It sounds like you are at a great weight now! Maybe work on toning if you are not happy with your size.0 -
sorry, 5'6" here, you would not be interested.
In all seriousness, I'm a healthy weight (and always have been). In recent years I've noticed when I travel a lot for work I tend to pack on the extra weight. Just trying to get back to my fall 2011 weight and stay there. Logging helps, and logging honestly helps because if you log and you don't log every bite it's not going to work.0 -
I'm 5'7" and was stuck at 135-140 FOREVERRR. I've always worked out 3-5 x/week and ate fairly clean. The only thing that helped me get down to where I am now (125) is lifting heavy and cutting out most of the alcohol in my diet. Sadly...haha getting water wasted these days.0

5'7" started at 208, currently 183, goal weight 145.
I'm big boned and curvy. In my 20's I was about 132-135 for a while, but it was hard work to maintain. 145 is more realistic for me, I think.
I'll be happy with anything under 159 (that will put me in to the normal weight range).0 -
I'm 5'7". I started out at 180 lbs and, after 5 months, I'm now down to 158 lbs. My goal weight is 142 lbs, which will put me around 23-24% body fat.
What's been working for me: On a typical day, I burn between 200-400 calories from a combo of cardio/strength training exercise & then I eat between 1300-1600 NET calories.0 -
Years ago I used to run about 80 miles a week. I am just over 5'7" and weighed 130, but might have had 5% body fat and looked like I might have weighed 100 pounds. If I remember my weight tables correctly, 120 is actually considered underweight for 5'7". when I was actually tracking and loosing my goal was 160. I got to 166, met my man, moved in with him, and ugh, now I have to do it all over again. My goal is still 160-- however I am mostly focused on my waist size, since that seems to be the largest culprit for long term health problems. I have to agree with what many of the other people have said, when I look at pictures from 130, I can see every bone in my body, had NO (ABSOLUTELY NO) curves, and even though I was healthy, I didn't look it. I would think that you are at a good place weight-wise now, and should focus on becoming as strong and healthy as you can be.0

I'm 5'7" and CW is 212 (HW 220). My goal is 150-160, which will put me in a healthy range. I weighed around 120 in high school, but looking back at pics from then, I looked way too skinny. And I was always sick when I was that skinny. 130 sounds like a healthy weight for you. Maybe check in with your doctor. But in the end you gotta do what's right for you. Good luck!0

I'm exactly 5'7", CW is 165, SW 225, GW 140. I clearly still have a ways to go, at 165 still have flabby belly, hips, arms and thighs. I think 140 seems about right, but its much more important to me to get to 18% body fat. If anyone is there, I'd love to know what you're weight is so I can adjust my goal accordingly. Yes, I realize this will vary from person to person. I have a medium frame, I eat about 1600 calories a day +/- and workout 6 days a week:
M/W/F- light cardio and strong lifts 5x5
T/T - outdoor run 3-4 miles
S or S - swimming 45 minutes (alternate rest day)
5-7" ladies who have similar goals, please friend me.0 -
I am 5'7" and currently 147. The lowest that I have ever been was 125 and I think that I looked good at that weight, because I had muscle tone. I was on the track team and lifted. However, I wouldn't want to get much smaller than that.
My current goal is 130, but I secretly would like to get back to 125...
Edit to say: I am also small framed. Despite your height, frame size along with lean body mass/body fat is going to make a big difference in how you carry your weight.0 -
Hey. I am 5'7. My starting weight was 184, cw 164 and goal is 145. When I reach 145 I will reset to 135.
That being said, when I was in my early 20's I stayed around 125 and looked great. But at 53 I look great at anything under 150. So folks may say 120 is too small for you, but it's probably fine if you're young.0 -
120lbs is not too tiny by any means for 5"7. 115 would be ideal.0
-
It is quite tiny, 115 is way too tiny. I was there when I was a teenager and I don't want to go back. All my ribs could be seen, I had no muscle and I ate almost nothing. It was a torture.
I am 172cm (5'5.7''), my highest weight was probably 171, current 158, lowest 114. My goal weight is somewhere between 132 - 138.
Edit: BMI for 115 lbs (52 kg) and 170 cm is little below 18. Normal weight is with BMI 18-24,99.0 -
I am 5'7" and 19 years old. I started at 193lbs, now I am 178lbs and my first goal weight is 150lbs and then I will reevaluate after that. I have never been less than 165lbs since high school began.0
-
I am 155 and goal weight is 120-125 which I was for the longest time. But we will see when I get down there... I am quite a bit older than you so I am not sure how it will look on me now.0

im 5'7 and in highschool I was about 140 lbs, mt starting weight was 247.2 my current weight is 175.5 and I want to get down to 159 maybe 155 ish0

Hi 5'7 here currently 273 but losing steady. I exercise as much as I can, mostly cardio but will put in strength training in another 30 or 40 lbs down. I've been as low as 206 but never lower. I plan on getting to 155 and then maybe adding more strength training to tone. I am a pretty large boned person so don't believe it will be healthy to go much below 155.
Anyone feel free to add me0 -
I'm 5'7 and feel that I look overweight at 128, so I have a goal weight of 120, however as a dancer I have a lot of muscle, which is restricting me falling below around 125 without losing muscle mass. Could your problem be similar?0
-
I'm 5'7" and currently 165. I'm hoping to get down into the 150s because I have never been that light as an adult. I think your goal weight should reflect your build and your fitness goals. I love to lift weights and feel strong, so I don't think I'll go lower than the 150s. The hubby also likes a little junk in the trunk, so I don't want to be too small . Good luck to everyone in reaching their goals!0

Im 5'7 and my starting weight was 203.4 cw: 191.4 and my goal weight is 1600
-
I am also 5'7, starting weight of 155. I'm focusing on clothing size rather than weight - I'm currently in a size 12 pants and would love to get down to an 8/10. I think that's probably around 135 or 140 for me.0
-
Wow...a lot of you 5'7 ladies weigh tons less than I do!
I'm 5'7.5 - current weight is 164.5, goal weight 155 - but damn I'd love to be 145!0 -
5'7" CW 157, I don't have a goal weight really. I just wanna look good in my clothes and lifting has helped that.0
-
I'm 5'7 SW 190 havent weighed myself since but notice that my clothes are fitting much looser. I am only going to weigh once a month so if I don't lose on a weekly basis I don't get discouraged. MY GW is 145 I think its achievable I was that weight before my first child. I am curvy and sporty build so theres no way I'd ever be able to get to 120 and look healthy.0
-
5'7 with a goal weight of 128 and 16% bodyfat. It's low but do-able.0
-
5'7" here! SW: 212-215, CW- 175, GW- 159. I'm starting with 159 as my goal weight, and looking more at clothing size than an end goal weight. I can currently wear 12s in most things, and I was absolutely shocked when I tried on a size 10 dress this weekend and it fit. I would love to be toned and be able to fit into a size 8, whatever weight that ends up being!0
-
238.8 right now.
My highest weight ever was 293, lowest 164. I did not like being either weight. I'm looking to be at a happy, healthy 185.0 -
-
I am 5'7 currently 171 lbs. Not sure what my goal weight is, I will probably base it on pants size and %BF instead of just on weight. In my dreams, 125-130...0
-
5'8 and my goal is 165 (which is 40lbs less than what I am now) I carry my weight very well and am generally happy with how I look now, but I'd like to be fitter, lighter and tighter. I have long limbs and would probably start ot look sickly if I went below 145.0
