Hello All,

I have been doing well but its my birthday today but I am stil trying to make wise choices and not eat my trigger foods. But am going to try to make wiser choices tomorrow. As I am going to applebees for lunch and than a pizza place for dinner. But am going to try to exercise a little more as I am not that far over on my calories as I preplanned it out ahead of time. So I don t have to look at the menu and change my mind.

Does any one else have trouble with their birthdays or holidays? If so what do you do for it?

This doesn't sound like you are having trouble, it sounds like you have made a great plan for the day.
Enjoy your day... Happy Birthday!

Hey, that sounds pretty god to me! I'm going to have the same issue come next Friday and next Sunday(pre b-day party, then my actual b-day lol) I want chinese takeout, but I'm planning on getting the steamed tofu and veggies with sauce on the side. Tasty, and gives me room to have a nice chunk of cake(or whatever is planned)

I guess there are a couple ways to deal with the holiday food celebration. Some people allow themselves some of the less healthy foods as a "treat." I've been one in this camp...I've said it a number of times: Bday cals don't count. haha

I think a better way might be to keep in line with your new food philosophy. I used to want the naughty foods, but I've realized how crappy they make me feel. Right now, I just don't think it is worth it to eat the nasty processed foods. My mouth doesn't like it, either. Fresh natural foods taste 100000x better than a lot of the junk in restaurants. I still have a couple places I like, especially Asian foods, but honestly, I can't even get myself to park in Applebee's parking lot. It's not food, IMO. And yes, I know we all have our things. But that's just an example. I used to like some of the chain places, and now I wouldn't touch em with my enemy's mouth. :) In making my life healthier, it's what I truly want. Even at Thanksgiving I can't wait to make a pile of local, organic veggies full of amazingness. I simply feel better feeding myself better, and no matter what the day, I don't want to feel the way I did before.

Happy Birthday! I hope it's a wonderful day, regardless of what you decide to eat.
