Always battered and bruised!

In the last six months or so I have noticed I am always covered in bruises and any little cuts etc I get take a really long time to heal - the bruises appear out of nowhere, it's not even like I need to bang myself hard or anything (I am clumsy, always have been...so I am sure I am getting them from tiny knocks etc but nothing that should be bruising me like it does). When I get cuts or anything like that they also take a looooooong time to heal and tend to scar, I got a paper cut on my finger 3 weeks ago and it's still open and red raw like it was the day it happened. I bit my lip by accident a few weeks ago and it's still a really sore blister. I got blisters on my big toes back in June and they only just healed a few weeks ago and have left red scars on my skin! It's strange.
I have been on my weight loss journey for over 3 years now and have not dramatically changed my diet in that time so not sure if it is diet related, but I tried taking a multivitamin as well as a vit c tablet each day and it has not helped - I was just wondering if any one else found this or had any idea if there is something in my diet I might be missing that deals with healing skin etc?

You need to talk to your doctor. Bruising like that isn't something to mess around with.0

Add more protein and iron into your diet..BUT also see your doctor because that is abnormal...Im not a doctor or anything, but it sounds like you may possible have a disorder that could prevent you from healing correctly..
DO you have insulin problems or diabetic? That can also cause healing to be very slow...0 -
I'll try more iron thanks. I will get to the doctors with it at some point but I am not yet registered with one down here (I moved a while ago) and I don't really see it as urgent (is it? really?) so was hoping there was just some obvious nutrient lacking that might be causing it.0

Easily bruising is one of the most common and first symptoms of leukemia.
I don't want to scare you, but if you're doing everything else the same (and even if you're not), then, yes, this is VERY urgent. Get yourself checked out.0 -
It could be anemia. That happened to me a lot and doctors finally figured out I was anemic. I was prescribed prenatal vitamins with extra iron and the bruising stopped pretty quickly. Simple finger prick test at the dr. could determine if it's anemia or not.0
