To All The C25K'ers

You can do it. Just stick with the program. I'm living proof. I ran my first 5k this last Saturday and it was awesome. I was actually only in week 7 of the program and I was able to run the whole way. I turned in a time of 35:50 which I was very happy with for a first try. It's true what they say about the adrenaline and being around other people and how that carries you through. In my training I think the farthest distance I covered was 2.2 or 2.4 miles but the 3.1 of the race didn't feel any longer. So keep it up and don't let the race intimidate you. It's so much fun and the feeling of accomplishment afterwards is indescribable.

I have another 5k scheduled for 10/2/11 (Bucktown 5k in Chicago) but I'm considering starting a 12 week half marathon program with the bold goal of running the Rock'n'Roll half marathon in Las Vegas on 12/4/11. And to think, just this last May I was a lazy couch potato that would have never imagined running.0 -
Yeah you!
I love to run. Sometimes I go out & solve the world's probablems in my head & other days I run away from them.0 -
Bump this up for the lunchtime crowd.0
