Carbs Rant !!!

I am so fed up with the darn things! :explode:
My daily goal for my carbs is 114g.
But if I want to eat all of my calories, I ALWAYS happen to go over my carb allowance. And if I stick to my carbs allowance, then I never reach my daily calories goal! :grumble:
I hardly eat any pasta, rice and havent eaten any other bread than Ryvita for weeks. I still go over on my daily carbs. I mean, they seem to be in absolutely everything. I ate a cup of green grapes today to get some fruit in, and they already had 22g of carbs! My healthy salad has 34g carbs! :noway:
I am sure if I would manage to eat all my calories AND be able to stick to my carbs allowance I would lose weight much better! This sucks. :grumble:
Has anyone had the same problems as me with their carb intake? What did you do to resolve that problem? Please help :ohwell:
Thanks.

I have a problem keeping my ratios also. It seems I'm always over in SOMEthing. I don't know how to balance my meals, I guess. Which is really frustrating because I've always eaten healthy, and I really thought I knew what a balanced meal is. But either I go over in carbs, or I go over in fat and protein! Ugh!
And like you said, if I stay within my carb/fat/protein, I don't seem to get enough calories!0 -
I too have a problems with carbs. I am a diabetic and have to watch my carbs or my blood sugar goes up. Iam allowed 30 g for breakfast. 30 g for lunch. 45 for dinner and 1 15 gram for snack. Which comes to 120 a day. I really don't feel like I get enough food for breakfast Here a typical break that i would like to have a simple breakfast----:2 eggs-0 carbs
2 pieces toast 23 carbs---glass orange jucie-16-glass of milk---12 I would overshot by 21 pts. And that will add up over time. I guess what we need id somekind of carb bloker.0 -
Carbs are a good thing. They are your body's, and especially your brain's, most important energy source. Complex carbs -- from whole grains, fruits, and vegetables -- should not be restricted. The processed ones are the ones that cause the problems for most people. Too much of a focus on numbers (grams of this, grams of that, what the scale says) can make us lose sight of health and nutrition. Cutting out the white flour, crackers, breads, sugary cereals, other refined sugar sources, candies, desserts, etc. -- and keeping the carbs that come from whole foods -- is the healthiest way to go.0

Thanks! Sounds good to me, and that's what I do normally, so then, maybe I won't worry too much.0 -
OK here is what I just did. I changed my goals with MFP (guided, not custom) and am now at 1210 cals per day and 166 carbs. That is more than what I aimed for manually the last time I set my goals. but I figured since it is a guided change this should be OK to have more carbs... I checked my food diary for today ahving already figured in my dinner,... and what can I say... It fits perfectly with carbs and cals!
Guess that is a lesson learned why custom changes are not recommended.
Thanks everyone for your posts0 -
