New Diet, Bad Skin?

I switched to a high protein, low sugar, low carb diet about 3 months ago and my skin has been terrible ever since. I'm not sure the diet is the reason for the breakouts, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this. It's so frustrating! I'm 25 not 15 I don't want to have to deal with acne!
Has your skin suffered as a result of your diet?

Actually my skin has suffered a bit because of all the exercise and sweat. I don't wash my face like I should but now I kind of half to to prevent breakouts. My diet may have something to do with it too..but I noticed it more when I work out.0

I had some when I first went Primal. I blamed it on my body ridding itself of all the built up toxins. I had an increase in body odor, too. But eventually it does go away. Now I break out if I ingest too much sugar.
I stick with very mild soaps (Dove for Sensitive skin).0 -
I had the opposite effect: my skin is now MUCH better than it used to be. Like someone else said I would try to just wash your face more or at least rinse your face as soon as you can after working out.0

I noticed more break-outs with exercise. A girl at Walgreens helped me find something tht is awesome. Everyother day, Biore has a salistic acid scrub wash, follow that with the bar neutrogena, used with the tear shapped scrubby, it's awesome, when I slack on washing my face properly I breal out, adn at 30!0

I did for the same reason RNewton did, more exercise, more sweat.0

oh man ive been on a world wide search for my acne problems
So when i was a teen I had nasty pimples
as an adult i still break out never had clear skin ever
I just tried to control it with proactiv
in my adult chubby days It wasnt bad and i ate whatever
then i got pregnant with my son and got nasty hormonal acne that was stay at home all day embarrasing!!
then i had him and went back to being my normal breakouts
then when I changed my lifestyle and ate healthyer like eggs, oatmeal, wheat bread it got unmanageable!!
so im searching searching, ok i take out gluten and wheat and milk and eggs cleared up a bit
but now i hear its the carbs ( i eat a lot of carbs but still lose maintain my weight)
so im taking the low low carb for a ride and see what happens! suck sucks!
we are all different, you see plenty of over weight people have nice clear skin (envy)
so we all need to find our balance0 -
I definitely break out more now that I exercise. My diet actually helps my skin. But, if I don't wash my face right after working out I get a new breakout. It sucks.0

If you are eating fatty proteins (lots of red meat, fatty cuts of pork) that could definitely cause breakouts (especially if you are cooking them over a stove and they are splattering). You shouldn't get as many breakouts if you are eating protein in the form of lean poultry, fish, beans, etc. Also be sure you are drinking plenty of water, my skin always looks best when I am fully hydrated.
Its also very important to shower, washing your face and body with soap and water as soon as possible after a workout - especially if you are using a gym - to avoid staph infections.0 -
Lol when I ate like crap my skin was gorgeous, minute I changed my diet zits galore!! I had to start buying actual face wash and Im extra careful about washing my face more, especially after a workout!0

Try washing with oatmeal and honey...it's amazing...extra virgin coconut oil for moisturizer is also fabulous0
