So Last week, I took a week off from the gym . . . . why I am not really sure why . . . I guess it was due to Christmas shopping , an Ice Storm in the Northeast where I live and just being distracted. I went back yesterday to the gym and got back into it.
Is a week off really THAT bad? Don't we all need a break here and there ? I kept to the diet I am on with a few add in's here and there but it wasn't like i went crazy . . .
Just wanted to vent.
Thanks Everyone

i see no problem in taking a break. you've done an amazing job as i can tell and deserve to relax. after all it's the holiday season. plus your going right back to it which is the important thing! great job!!!0

That ice storm was nothing to mess with! Better to stay home than risk getting hurt.
I think a week off is fine if you can keep it at just a week. I have a tendency of letting myself have a week off, which turns into two, then three.... then six months later I realize I am still fat and head back to the gym.
As long as you can go back and adjust your eatting for the time you aren't working out, then it is fine!

In the years I have worked out with weights. I have noticed that sometimes when I have not missed a work out for a couple of months straight and then have a week off for whatever reason, I come back stronger. I think a week off is good both physically and mentally. Just hit hard this week and good luck.0

I agree with taking some time off. Although Ive never taken a complete week off so far, I have taken 3-4 days and felt even stronger and better when I got back at it again. :drinker:0

I wouldn't let it bother you. These things are going to happen from time to time. Whether it's the holidays, you get sick, on vacation, weather is horrible, etc. The important thing is not to let a few days become habit again. As long as you get back there once the craziness is over, you will be ok!
And I agree that a few days here and there can be a nice break to get you ansty to get back and really get going! :happy:0
