I hate mushrooms.... idk if its the way they taste or the look of them. I know that they are really good for you but does anyone have any good recipes for me to learn how to tolerate or like them?

Maybe start with using the low sodium cream of mushroom soup to make your dinner? It just has small chunks, so that may be a good first step. Good luck!

I can't think of a single one! I usually fry them and eat them out of a bowl!

I chop them up and put them in omelets, or on a homemade pizza.

i don't like the way they look feel, and they remind me of the movie "Lord of the Rings." lol I can eat stuffed mushrooms on occasions at a restaurant but that's about it.

Try stuffing some Portobello mushroom caps with veggies and a little cheese, then bake them. Yummy!

I usually sauté them in a LITTLE butter (doesnt take much at all) and a dash of garlic salt and powder.

I used to hate mushrooms too. But now I love them and have them breakfast, lunch and dinner, probably ovrdosing on mushrooms lol! But they are very, very good for you and fill your plate and your insides :-)
I usally fry them in 1 cal spray and sprinkle salt and pepper in the pan. sometimes I crack an egg over them.
If you like stir fry add them to that.

I slice them really fine and cook them till they are golden, sometimes I mix in some finely diced onion and sprinkle a bovril/oxo cube over them.

    Luuuurve Mushrooms now :-)

I love mushrooms (cooked not raw)!!! My recommendation, throw them in the food processor to start with and add them to things like pasta sauce where you won't even notice them then as you start to get used to the taste start increasing the size of the pieces.

I don't like mushrooms either! But for me its the texture, I don't mind the taste of them as long as I chop them VERY fine.

If you don't LIKE mushrooms, don't force yourself into eating them because they're healthy. There are plenty of other healthy alternatives out there, some of which you are bound to prefer and like more.

If you're really determined to try them... is it the flavour or the texture you don't like? Most people don't like the texture, in which case, make soups from them. If you don't like the flavour, it's unlikely you'll find a healthy way of cooking them without adding lots of calories to mask the flavour.

Find other things you can cook with that are healthy. There are plenty of options, so don't start with the ones you're least likely to like :)

I don't like the small mushrooms but not the large ones. lol maybe adding them in curry is a good idea. i should slowly add them on pizza and see how it goes. What types of mushrooms are really good?
