Light exercise suggestions, for someone with VERY little tim

I'm looking for some light and effective exercise suggestions.
I am up at 4am each day with my newborn and then I start getting ready for work at 5am - wake up my 2 year old at 6 and am off to drop the kids off and work by 6:45. I don't get home until after 6pm and then by the time I make dinner, eat and get the kids bathed and down to bed it's about 9pm.
I don't have much time to fit in a full work-out, not to mention I'm so exhausted and need to spend some time with my husband.
Any little quick exercises that I can do during the day in between meetings, or whatever, to keep me active is helpful.
Once the schedule dies down, I'm hoping to fit in more.
Please and Thank you

Do you have stairs at work? Also - I used to work with some people who would walk around the office during breaks. Kind of like the people who walk the mall. Leave your desk 5 minutes early for a meeting and take the super-scenic route If it's anything like my old office - no one will notice because they'll be doing their potty or cigarette breaks before the meeting :P0

I get up and walk at work. If I'm walking to the cafeteria, I walk the opposite way and then down the furthest steps before turning and heading to the cafe. If I go to the restroom (and it's not super-urgent) - I take the stairs & go to one on a different floor. Park further away from the building. Those are all little things.
For a workout - I have a workout DVD that has 10 minute workouts. It is perfect for me, as I hate aerobics/videos in general. But I can do one for 10 minutes. It has 5 different workouts on it, so I can do 1 in 10 minutes, 2 in 20, 3 in 30 if I want. Of course, I have never wanted to do more than the one, but I find it hard to find an excuse not to squeeze 10 minutes in.0 -
While you watching tv with your hubby or by yourself, you can grab some canned food and lift them up ( as weight lifing) or jumping jacks during commerical breaks, or you can got to YouTube.com and look up 8 min workouts such as Legs, Arms, Buns, Abs, and Chest ( I believe). Hope this helps.

Do you get a lunch break during your work day? I have found that's a great time to at least sneak in a walk.0

Can you exercise during your lunch hour?
I'm fortunate enough to have an office with a door. Sometimes I close the door and pop in a walking DVD. I love walking outdoors, but too often it's just too hot, or too cold. There are a couple of free walking workouts at exercisetv.com - Start! Walking 2 Miles, and Cardio Slimdown. You could check them out to see if this would work for you.
Also - google "office workouts" or "exercise at your desk" for ideas. I keep a resistance band and handweights in my desk.

Add steps wherever you go, walking as briskly as is appropriate. Park further out in the parking lot, walk the halls, take the little ones around the block for a walk after dinner etc. Pick up a pedometer and let it keep track of the steps and distance for you, pushing yourself to get in the equivalent of a workout during the day. For most people, every 2000 steps is around 1 mile, so if you can manage 10,000 steps, you've actually walked around 5 miles. 8,000 steps = about 4 miles etc. So if you you haven't factored the extra walking around into your lifestyle, you could then log the exercise by reversing the formula to do the math. 60 minutes at 4.0 mph would be the equivalent of 8,000 steps etc.0

get a pedometer and walk as much as you can! It adds up pretty quickly and its not hard to push a few minutes more here and there to get up and over the 10,000 per day mark!
I am in the same boat and I have lost 21 pounds so far!0 -
There is a 10 minute workout dvd that I have seen at Wal Mart for like 10 bucks. You can also order them online via Amazon or their website: http://www.the10minutesolution.com/0
