Just posting so I can find it easily in the morning! :bigsmile: Not looking forward to weighing in, but I'll take my own advice from earlier and just roll with it. It will come back off. I'm just psyched that being in the lowest of the 170's feels "really HIGH" to me right now. That's still 50lbs less than I was 6 months ago!! haha So I'm predicting a weigh-in of 172 in the morning. We'll see how clear my crystal ball is...
Week 4! HERE WE COME!!!!!
Meals:
1) Ezekiel sodium-free toast w/ scrambled egg whites, salsa & ketchup + 1 apple
2) homemade multi-grain muffin w/ honey
3) 1 cup raw broccoli w/ 1.5 tbsp sundried tomato garlic dressing, 1 chocolate protein shake
4) bison, carrot, salsa & cheese wrapped in spinach leaves
5) 1/2 sprouted grain bagel w/ almond butter & 1/2 med banana
6) homemade spicy French lentil soup
7) pomegranate, muffin & 7g dark chocolate

Sorry Ive been so MIA the past few days, just really busy with life actually lol. I went out with friends Saturday night, and had a blast! Danced my butt off :happy:
This week I am down 2.2lbs.
Last week- 179.8
This week- 177.6
3.6lbs left to go!!
I took my last final yesterday afternoon, and checked my grades last night- straight A's this semester! Also, my bio professor extended an invitation to me to go on a week long research trip next may- only about 7-8 students are invited, and the professors have to invite you its not an advertised trip!! I am so excited!!

Morning Morning Girls!!! Well...last night was okay...we ended up ordering Chinese for dinner (YUCK!) but I got home late, the hubby was STARVING and it was FREEZING outside! So...I got chicken and broccoli...could've been worse! Burned a bunch of calories at the gym though and didn't go over for the day! YAY! Anyways...

Well I stayed the same this week, which for me is a blessing considering how much I ate, drank and stressed out! So I"m happy to be where I am right now. part of me still hopes i can reach 150 by christmas but we'll see.
Katy - awesome job on finals (can't believe they have your grades up already, they are so slow here!!) And congrats on the bio trip, that sounds awesome!!!
I have one online quiz today and then I am done. I do know that I got one A in a class that I almost dropped the first week because I thought i couldn't do it. Just shows that if you put your mind to something, you can achieve it!!
Not sure on the plan today, have been feeling horrible, running a fever, and sleeping constantly for the last couple days and so am going to the doctor this morning to get it figured out. I usually get a cold or something during breaks because my body is so worn down, but never anything like this before!! I'm worried that i'm coming down with mono or something which would totally ruin the holidays. Hopefully not but we will see.

Kristin, congrats on the solid weight loss you are acheiving!! You are doing so well. And thanks to you and Pedal both for asking about me (and anyone else who may have asked that I neglected to mention). I've decided that I just need to focus on maintaining during the holiday season. I'm dealing with some form of mild depression (it's either seasonal affective, or I'm just sad about my slowly crumbling marriage) and when depressed, I eat. I'm logically combating this, but it's tough. So I need to maintain -- start a fresh in the new year when the holiday gatherings with tempting foods and family gatherings are over.
I'll weigh in later this afternoon. From yesterday's weigh in, I think I'm on target this week to have gone back to my start weight for this challenge. LOL0 -
Lauryn...I'm sorry to hear that things in your life are not as ideal as you'd like, but it's good that you are checking in. This seems to be a very uplifting group, and not just for our weight-loss challenges. Anything we can do to help, let us know. Things will fall into place...sometimes it just takes a little patience...which I know is frustrating! Good luck sweetie...and seriously, anything you need, just let us know.:flowerforyou:

I changed mine on here. I have lost 2 lbs so far. My father in law noticed that I had lost weight yesterday. It really does feel good when someone notices especially one who would never comment on weight.

Soooo.... Even with all my pissiness this week, and not going to work out, and all the cake around the house (it's gone now, but I have another one for Thursday....) I dropped a half a pound. It might have been more, I was lower yesterday than today, but I made veal parmesan for the kids yesterday, and didn't want that for myself (have been doing very well at staying within my calories for the day even without the extra exercise). Poked around the fridge and freezer to see what else we had, and found a t-bone steak in the freezer. Did a quick defrost on it, while I scraped together mishmashed bags of half used veggies in the freezer and chopped up a fresh onion. Threw everything in a skillet sprayed with Pam, and searched online for a stir fry sauce recipe that I actually had the ingredients for. So, last night I ended up having beef stir fry with zuchinni, mushrooms, green beans, water chestnuts, onions, broccoli, and cauliflower, over a serving of brown rice made with beef broth. All that and a glass of milk for just over 500 calories. But super high in sodium, so that's what I'm blaming not still being down as low as yesterday on. lol

Good morning! Well, here it is anyway. My little ones slept in until 9:30 today so I did too! Nice :bigsmile:
Well I checked in at 170.4 today which is up from last week but I honestly it's only been the last day or two that my body really feels back to normal. I'm not putting too much stock in the numbers until I've got a good couple of weeks behind me which I guess will put us at the end of this challenge. Crazy!

Lauryn, I'm so sorry to hear that things are rough for you right now. I do think that maintaining is a wonderful goal because it's progress on what you may have done in the past! As Kristin said, we are here for you for more than just weight management. Anything you need!!

heres a chicken recipe i am trying tomorrow. kisitin had your fish again tonight. really like it.
cheesy chicken 'n broccoli
4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 lb)
1/4 cup milk
1/4 lb. (4 oz) velveeta cheese cut into 1/2 inch cubes
2 cups frozen broccoli florets
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
heat large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. add chicken; cover skillet. cook 5 t 7 min. on each side or until chicken is done. remove chicken from skillet, keep warm
add milk, velveeta, broccoli and 2 tbsp parmesan cheese to skillet. cook, uncovered, on medium heat 4 min. or until velvetta is melted and broccoli is heated through, stirring occasionally.
return chicken to skillet. cook and stir 1 min. or until chicken is coated and heated through. sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese.
serve with a rice side dish.

Well ladies turns out that i have an infection in my lymph nodes so i'm on antibiotics for 10 days. I'm kind of nervous since I know how they can affect your body, especially if you're trying to lose weight. (Cathy - I know you dealt with this so if you have any advice, i'd love to hear it!)
I'm also headed back to my hometown on Friday so it will be the thanksgiving challenge all over again, only for about 4 weeks rather than 1. I've learned a lot though and I know I can do it. (and I'm SOOOO taking my own scale with me this time. I was higher on the doctor's scale today too! :grumble: )
No plan yet for tomorrow, hopefully if I'm feeling better I can get back on track with C25K. We will see
by the way, sooo excited with the results of the Biggest Loser Finale tonight!!!!

Sorry about missing that weigh in yesterday. I've updated & moved my name. This week was a 0.4 gain. I've been slowly & steadily climbing. It's so hard to stay on track when overwelmed and I haven't had time to think about this enough yet to learn from it. I finished my last final last night & got an A in my anatomy & physiology which I was a little worried about. We have snow this morning and my exercise class was cancelled, so I will go and shovel to start off my exercise for today.
Today:
1: oatmeal, banana, & coffee w/creamer
2: grapes
3: turkey & green beans & salad
4: skim milk & homemade cookie
5: chili & roasted squash
6: ww frozen dessert or yogert

Amylou, Good job on the A and being able to do it when you thought you couldn't. I woke up sneezing and my nose was running like a faucet yesterday. I bought some cold-eze and took 1 claritin. I sucked on the cold-eze every 2-4 hours like directed and woke up this morning feeling great. No runny nose or sneezing. If you get that cold-eze right away I swear it works.

Well last night I went to bed with TONS of remaining calories. Which I don't like to do. I got a good 1/2 hour on the elliptical, 45 minute Step class, and 15 minute Ab workout in. Deb, honestly, I think a part of it was being around my family. I learned my horrible eating habits and lack of exercise from them. Watching them mindlessly eat, take elevators 3 flights instead of stairs, and generally lounge was EYE OPENING. I saw how I use to be, and why I use to be over 200 lbs. I think seeing them eating really made me curb my eating, and seeing them lounge made me WANT to workout! It didn't hurt that the fitness center there had treadmills and ellipticals with built in tvs, and a heated swimming pool to enjoy.
However, I have been losing and gaining back those same 2lbs for a month now. So it may have just been a fluke! :laugh:0 -
Lauryn...isn't it amazing to look back at how we used to be compared to how we are now!?! It's like "What was I thinking?!" I can't believe how much I used to eat at a time!!! CRAZY!:noway:

tried that chicken with the veleeta. yummy good. very cheesey. was easy to make. we serverd it over rice.
did 30 mins on eliptacal this morning. first time i have done that. what a good workout. i was looking for a different cardio instead of treadmill. will do that again on friday. tomorrow is my c25k workout.
