Parents/Grandparents - has anyone hosted or attended a birthday party at Build A Bear Workshop? Any feedback? My almost five year old has it in her head that she wants her birthday party there. Thanks!

It's fun, can be pricey, but they basically get to assembly line create their own bear. I've done it for both of my kids.

My nieces have gone there for parties (or at least a group went for someone's birthday!) and LOVED it!! My daughter, who is 19, loves to go with the and "help". (She really wants to build her own bear!) Don't know prices, but it was a lot of fun for everyone!
  • that sounds like a great idea!
i made my build a bear when I was 13 im now almost 20 and i still snuggle it with me at night!
if i could have a build a bear party i would
    :)
  • I don't fall into that criteria, BUT! Build-a-bear is actually really fun in my opinion lol. I'm 18 and I still LOVE going there. It is a little bit expensive, but they have animals from $12 and up. Sometimes you can get deals depending on when you go where you can get the animal and outfits all together for $30.
For parties, you don't really have to watch the kids so much because the employees there do it for you and keep them entertained lol.

I have seen the groups in there a couple of time and the kids all look like they are having a blast. But do they do the actual "party" stuff there? Like the cake and presents?

According to their website, the party lasts 1 to 1 1/2 hours. You can choose what price level bear the kids get to pick ($10, $12, and up) and any accessories. They will provide a party room and you can bring your own cake/ cupcakes. They don't let you open presents there, but that's actually easier. Opening presents at little kid parties can become quite chaotic. I'm really thinking of doing it, since each kid will get a bear, that takes care of the "goody bag." Feedback from my Facebook friends who have hosted parties is pretty good. Seems like a pretty easy party.

    Thanks for your thoughts, everyone!
