How do you stay motivated?

I know this is really corny and I hope no one blasts me, but for a while I was doing so well and I was just 2-3 pounds away from my goal weight. I've been doing Turbofire since exactly 1 April and made so much progress. But over the past 3 weeks, I've been exercising in fits and starts and letting more work responsibility take over, while I was doing such a great job before with my exercising.
I know I need to get back into it, but, for instance today, I got home at almost 8pm after being at work since 7am. Just don't have the energy. But I know I can do it.
How do you stay motivated? I'm starting by ordering my advanced DVDs of Turbofire--- I know spending the money will make me not want to waste it! :-)

Have you tried contacting your beachbody coach? I try and motivate my customers as much as possible, especially when they're falling off.0

hi hoyagirl .. i do not think it's corny at all .. it's quite easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the day and by the end of it you find yourself worn and not wanting to do anything but fall flat on the couch .. been there and still there sometimes i keep in mind what i use to look like and have sworn to never go back .. there are days when i do not get to work out as hard as i like but make up for it on the next day however for me i had to make sure i did something to keep my body burning calories and not get sedentary.. i have p90x for those days that i find myself on the couch and mentally not doing anything .. i say that to keep motivated find some partners that will stay wth you on this journey and if buying dvds will make you use them go for it.. nothing is more important than you .. your body is the most magnificent thing ever created on God's green earth and trust me once you jump start it, it will run for you .. you can add me as a friend if you want keep your mind focused and stay active ... good luck to you0

It's not corny! I clicked on this message because I was hoping someone else would have responded! I could use some motivation, myself. I keep slacking off every time I get within seven pounds of my goal.
Anyway, sorry I don't have any advice. Just wanted you to know that I'm in the same boat.0 -
I think everyone goes through that stage, so you are not alone. I think the key is to understand why you want to workout and be fit. What are your reasons? That should be your motivation. Try not to beat yourself up. There are times when I just don't want to workout. I'll kick my butt downstairs and tell myself to do the best that I can. Usually, I find I have my best workouts when that happens! Ironic, eh? Best of luck to you!0

I'm getting ready to start back to work after being off-contract for the summer. I've gotten used to a certain amount of exercise freedom that's going away and I'm worried about a let-down. Right now I'm doing two things to keep me focused. One is I'm picking my exercise times carefully. I know I'll be tired in the evenings, so I'm making sure to get up earlier by an hour to do my cardio in the morning. A glass a juice and a run before breakfast is actually refreshing and gets me energized for the day such that after work I still have the motivation to do my strength-training. The other thing I'm doing is focusing mentally on little changes that make a difference. I'm three weeks into a plateau but I take pictures every week. Even though my weight isn't moving right now, I can see small changes in the flatness of my upper abs, the definition in my arms and neck, and it gets me really excited. (The pictures allow the comparisons and THAT's what motivates me.) Hope this helps a little.0

It's really easy to get caught up in the everydayness of life. I did that this last week and the weight was starting to come back. What helped me get back into it was a couple things. My two huge motivations: 1. myself. I want to look good and feel happy the way I look. 2. My boyfriend. He is my inspiration whether he knows it or not.
After I got back into working out, I started to notice the little things.. My biceps are a little more defined. I see a slight difference in my tummy in the mirror. I want those little things to turn into big things so that keeps me going also.
Try to find the little things that make it worth it. The little things that can turn into something bigger that makes the process worth doing.0 -
I am getting busy at work lately and also finding it hard to slot exercixs time during the week. Personally I have used a 2 prong attack. Firstly I try to log on "some" exercise during the week even if it's 20mins slow walking. I then try to do as much exercise as I can on the weekend. Of course I am not as fit as a lot of you and I wouldn't have a clue what I would do if I was exercising esoterically...0
