I am considering going on maintenence for a little while since I have stopped losing despite doing my best. Do you think a break while still eating well will help?

  • I went on a 3 month summer break still maintaining what I lost. When I went off at the end of may I was 203 then starting back last monday I was at 207 so not to bad, I have already knocked that weight off. It really helped me to take a break. Good luck with what ever you choose.

Maintenance at your goal weight will still put you at a calorie deficit from where you are now, so in theory you will still be losing while eating more food. Or do you mean maintenance for the weight you are now so you don't lose?

Some times a "stall" means you need to change it up. I stalled for two months and someone (my doctor) told me to eat more and exercise less! I thougth he was nuts but tried it (not a lot more or a lot less...) and it worked! So change it up and call it anything you want. It may help you breakthrough the stall and have some fun while you're doing it!
