Good (at home- no video) thigh workouts

I've been jogging a lot lately and my calves are getting so strong. Besides squats at home, can you recommend any good thigh workouts (not looking for video suggestions please)?
Also, how about for obliques?

Go to the library and borrow Denise Austin's Pilates for Everybody, I don't like video's either, so I've been using this, its been about 4 weeks and my pants are loose in the thigh area....:) Good luck!!0
