Good Morning All:

My name is Sarah, and I have been working out consistently since June 30th; with a starting weight of 238ilbs ughh.
having had back surgury Feb 24th I had to gradually, build my exercise regime, which I now run up and down the stairs in my apt from the 1st to 5th flr 5x's, 240 situps, walk over the bridge near my apts 3x's (6 miles), Jumping jack workout and

I recently started the "Core Rhythms" Dance exercise program on DVD ( and, if anyone knows how to log dvd workout videos into MFP please let me know  ) My doctor has forbid me to do any running but, I got an okay to rollerblade which I used to do very often years ago and I am happy to say, today was my first day getting back to that.

Of the few exercises, I mix and do 3 or 4 a day. I have scale phobia right now and haven't weighed since I started for fear that I am not losing fast enough and getting discouraged so, I stay away from the scale for now.
I was hospitalized in 2009 for 2 months and was diagnosed with Budd Chiari Syndrome which contributed to my weight gain and inactivity plus, I became aware that some medications contribute to weight gain.

I don't recommend anyone do this but, I stopped all meds and started exercise and dieting to my surprise i haven't had an ER visit since (so far so good) having never been overweight before it was really weighing down my self-esteem. I realized being overweight was not for me.

So that's my story.
