New to MFP

Hey Everyone!

I recently just joined MFP and am really enjoying it so far. My bestfriend who lives an hour away was my motivation to join and it's been exciting seeing her success!

As a former competitive swimmer, I miss the body and energy I used to have. I've been apart of training studies through a couple of the universities in my area and was very successful in one of them that involved interval training. I was unable to keep the weight off as it wasn't a lifestyle change but an intensive 8 week exercise program.

For me the hardest part is motivating myself to get out and get exercise even though I love the rush after a good work out! I also love food and my boyfriend is a very good cook so I struggle with portion control. The calorie counter on this site has been extremely helpful!

I look forward to meeting and maybe helping some of you with your goals!
