I've been working out for the last 15 days and have lost 5 lbs. Well today I feel like my body is telling me to take a day off and rest. The problem that i'm having is I'm trying to force myself NOT to work out. Before I used to have to force myself to work out. It's strange and a wonderful thing to know that something has changed in 15 days. And I wanna thank my MFP friends for all the support and motivation. Thank you!

You don't want to get burnt out of get to the point of just not being able to go when your body says stop...so a break wouldn't hurt and might actually help. Good job on being consistent though.0

Listen to your body. You definitely need "rest" days. That is when your muscles heal and in turn make you stronger. Make it a priority to rest 1-2 days a week. You can rest by simply going for a walk instead of an intense workout.0

I totally understand I have been at this for 80 + days and I have taken two days off without any exercise but there are now days when I don't go as hard at it or for as long. There are probably a lot of people out there that would laugh at my exercise and think wow she doesn't do anything but I was fat and slow and any moving at all for me is more than I use to do.0

That's Awesome! Your body is right though, it will do you good to rest for a day and let your muscles and tendons heal. 15 days in a row...you definately earned a day of rest!0

first off, that's an AWESOME weightloss! great job! second off, i have to force myself to rest too, exercise can be very addictive and makes you feel great once you've finished. a rest is a good idea though i'm struggling with this myself0 -
That's awesome, yay for you! But definitely, if your body says no, then don't. Maybe find something lighter to do, maybe a walk, yoga, something easy like that? It's amazing how good a good workout can make you feel!0
