What is your favorite cardio workout? Treadmill? Elliptical? Spin/Bike? Anyone do the treadmill and elliptical after? I heard "too much cardio" increases body fat.. is that true??
I honestly only go 3 times a week for an hour or hour & a half each time. And I jog / walk on high incline on the treadmill for 40-45 mins, then ellptical for 20 and weight lifting 10-15 mins.. just want some feedback. Thanks everyone!

Elliptical is my favorite! But I've started jogging, a little and I do Zumba 2X's a week! Right at this moment I am on Day 11 of the 30 Day Shred because I wanted to do a little more toning.:laugh:0

I the treadmill. I love to run on it.
However, my new gym has an incline trainer and I must admit that I'm starting to love that even more than the treadmill.
Can't use the elliptical or the bike as they make my feet go numb (yes, I know it is weird... lol)0 -
my fave?! Hip hop dancing yours doesnt sound bad!0

Too much cardio increase body fat? No. How many fat distance runners or cyclists do you know of. Too much cardio can reduce muscle mass, which is why distance runners and cyclists are so thin, but it doesn't increase fat.
I do Zumba. But if your looking for machines the stair master and eliptical are my favorites.0 -
Turbo Jam and running are my favorites.0

I'm with russelljclarke. Rowing machine. So much so that I bought one when I started here on mfp as I know I won't keep up going to the gym.0

You are right it will not increase fat, but there is a chance it can increase BF%, if you happen to lose more muscle than fat due to cardio. Unlikely this will happen but it is possible.
I don't always do Cardio, but when I do, I prefer HIIT (running).0 -
I love it all! My favorite lately has been running, but I also love elliptical, biking, and DVDs.0

on days I lift weight I lift first...after a warm up and do cardio after for 30-45 mins. On days I dont lift I do no more than an hour of cardio. Too much cardio I am told will start to burn muscle.0
