Filling protein requirement

Alrighty, I eat eggs (3 whites), greek yogurt, and some sort of meat everyday- but I'm still short on my protein by at least 100 grams. How do I fix this? I eat peanut butter and snack on nuts... but I don't get enough protein to really justify the calories associated with them. If you think I should try a protein powder, what would you suggest? (I would probably add it to milk or something) and I prefer it is low sugar.

You are *short* 100 grams after eating all that? Maybe you have your protein set too high. However, if that is in fact how much protein you want to eat, then I am guessing a protein powder is the only solution for you.0

see my diary...i'm a vegetarian but have been working very hard to get my protein up
my sources include: eggs, cheese, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, nuts, beans, etc.
I also drink Optimum Nutrition 100% gold standard whey protein...SO amazing!0 -

I was under the impression that my protein goal is on the high end (45%) but definitely not considered too high.0 -
I eat over 100g of protien a day generally, most of the time i manage this easily with my meat and nut choices but I also have a maximuscle promax diet bar a day too - 20g in one bar and they don't taste too bad - just over 200 cals each bar0

45% is quite high :O no need to go over 1g per lb of LBM honestly0 -
i drink optimum protein shakes if i fall below my protein goal. Do you like fish (tilapia, salmon, tuna)? its around 17-20 grams of protein per serving0

Hi! Usually it's .5g for every pound that you weigh. I'm not sure how you are coming up with still being short 100g of protein when you only weigh 130. Are you maybe trying to gain massive amounts of muscle? If you still need to get lots of protein, I like the Special K protein meal bars which have 10g of protein (they have snack bars too, but w/ only 5g of protein). I also like Arbonne's protein powder - comes in chocolate & vanilla (the bigger container is the better buy). You can add to smoothies or milk or be creative. I usually add 3 scoops vs 2. 2 scoops has 20 g of protein, but since I usually lack a little on protein too, I use 3 scoops & get 30 grams. I'm sure other people have other suggestions for powders & bars, these are just some that I like & that honestly taste really good! No sense eating something that tastes like cardboard.0
