Calories burned at work?

Options
I work as a sales specialist at Guess, and I was wondering if anybody has any idea approximately how many calories I'm burning every time I go to work. Typically, one of my shifts last 5 hours, and I spend most of that time walking the floor going from customer to customer. I don't usually walk fast, I'd say no more than 2 or 3 mph; conversational speed. Occasionally I have to carry boxes of shipment or merchandise for customers or go-backs, but usually I'm just walking the floor at a steady pace, talking to customers and helping them with various needs.

Anybody know or have an idea how I could calculate what I burn off at work?

I am not sure how many you would burn, but if you set your activity level at lightly active or active because of your job, your calorie goals would factor in the fact that you are on your feet most of the day! Hope that helps a little!

That should be calculated in your activity level - it even gives Salesperson as an example. That will automatically increase the amount of calories you can eat per day.

That would be calculated into your daily allowence of calories. I wouldn't really say it's exercise. If you change your activity level to better suit what you do during the day that's where it goes. So lightly active ect...

I wear a pedometer to work every day that shows distance walked and calories burned. You'll be amazed at how much you walk!

I didn't know that the "activity level" actually factors in your daily activities. Thanks for the info!

    Hence the term, "Activity level."
