Hello my Lady Potatoes!! Hope everyone is doing well! Here we can post our progress and help motivate and support each other.
Just so no one has any questions I will post the guidelines and spreadsheet link again.

- Run outside unless you medicaly can not do so, and let me know if you are running inside.
- the day after you complete day three time yourself running, stop the timer the first time you stop running! Send your numbers to me by Sunday. Another option is to wait a few hours after you complete day three to time yourself.
-Weighins will not be until you complete the nine week program.
-Make sure you do your 5 minute warm up before you start, this is included in your 30 mins, and do the cool down, the last 5 mins, this will just be walking.

Good Luck Ladies!!

Did day 2 yesterday, had a great run not counting the fact that I did an extra ten mins because my stupid phine kept freezing up and starting over the last few runs and the cool down once but hey I burned some extra calories :) Funny story, well not funny for me so much as my hubby. He was on his way home when I started my run yesterday I kept looking for him but then I forgot about it and was running back up the driveway with my headphones blarring and singing ( I am a good singer but when I am running not so much!) and he drove up behind me and scared the life out of me! I almost jumped out my shoes! I look at him and he is just a laughing :( meanie hubby

Alright Ladies, completed Wk1/Day 2 yesterday and Day 3 today during my lunch hour. With the Lakefront breeze and the cool mist coming from Grant Park's fountain, both runs were spectacular!!!

My walks/jogs have been so pleasant downtown. I hope the weather remains 'til I'm done with our training (a girl can hope can't she?). Lol!!!

    How's everyone else doing?

Run 3 tomorrow morning. Thursday's run went really well. I just can't get over how much harder it is to run outside than on the treadmill. Let's see what week 2 brings us! Good luck everyone!!

Starting week 2 in the morning...had to let the shin splints heal from Sunday and last week....Went to a running shop to try and figure out why this keeps happening. They suggest compression socks ...anyone use these before? They also said the key is to build the calf muscle to help prevent this. Anyone having this problem?

Dawn, I have the same problem when I do Zumba and can't do anything but push past it. Try doing some leg stretches before your run.

So, yesterday I attmpted to do week 2 day 1 and started to get sick to my stomach so I just did a brisk walk for 2 miles. This morning, attempted day 1 again and same thing :( Going to try again tonight and if it happens again I guess I'll juts have to push through the pain.

Week 2 Day 1 is complete. I went almost 2 miles today! YAY! The shins are ok...I've been icing them at night and wearing the compressions socks overnight. I am determined to get thru this! When I'm running the ONLY discomfort is the shins, other than that it's kinda easy so far :)

    Good luck everyone!!!
