Eating my Exercise Calories

So I was out for a run this morning and as I was doing my thing a bug flew in my mouth. :grumble: I choked a bit, took a wee stumble (it was a sizeable beastie and the shock knocked me off my stride), and then swallowed the stupid thing. So, question is, does this count as eating back my exercise calories? Should I log it and how, as I'm not entirely sure what exactly the flying object was? Should I just accept the free offering of protein or should I do another lap around the block to burn those calories off? Should I learn to run with my mouth closed? Answer on a postcard please!

Oh, and please do share your experience of acquiring unexpected calories.

A mosquito has about 14.3 calories. A fly has about 15.6.
    There ya go.

If it flies it's effectively lighter than air and therefore counts as negative calories.

I would accept it as a free offering of protein! The beastie obviously thought 'my that gal needs some muscle on her so she can finish her run' and decided to give its life in aid of you.

Either that or it just didn't see you.

Does that mean that chicken has no calories either?

Hahaha, that is soooo horrid when that happens, but sooo funny for the rest of us. If I'm out evening time I try and keep my gob shut but normally end up snorting the midges. yuk yuk. Still killing myself laughing. I love these posts, they really lift the day.

Well at least you know that technically you didn't eat them, so those are free calories.
