I am very confused on the definition of "sedentary". I am at a desk all day but exercise 1/2 hour a day (5 days a week) to burn 300-500 cals.
is that sedentary or MODERATE
Thanks

I read a post the other day that said when creating your profile to be sure and know that lifestyle and exercise are two different things. You will update your exercise daily on the site. This will buy you more calories to consume. Your lifestyle has a lot to do with your job and day to day activities- not your exercise. They give a good description of each and I think they do mention desk jobs under a certain category. Sounds like you are committed to exercise- which is great! Don't get caught up in the "sedentary" description...even though you might sit at work more than some (mailmen, teachers, etc.) you are exercising! The guy that wrote the post made it sound like you can really mess up (increase) your daily calorie totals (which would affect your rate of weight loss) if you overestimate the description associated with your "lifestyle".0
