Searching...

Yes, we all know that there is a search function for the forums. Yes, we all know how to use it. Here are a few reasons why I sometimes post a topic that I could have found through searching...

1.) There are a LOT of posts, and I don't have time to read through hundreds of posts. I'm sorry if this is annoying to you, but no on is forcing you to read my posts. I will not be offended if you roll your eyes and skip reading it.
2.) Sometimes, I want a fresh perspective. There are new members to MFP every day, maybe they can help me in a way someone else could not.
3.) Sometimes the issue has me flustered, worried, or freaked out. I may not be thinking as rationally as I would like, and therefore searching might not be my first plan of action.

I'm not trying to be a rag here, but I've seen a lot of nasty comments about searching lately. If you're annoyed that someone didn't use the search function, you don't have to read their post.
