Hello MFP friends!!! I need your help, support, and tough love...

I have a bad relationship with food. I eat when I'm bored, when I'm upset, when I'm happy... just because. I've tried to reform my relationship with food many times. At least I feel like I have started to move in the right general direction (as far as my mindset goes).

I recently moved to another state for graduate school. The month leading up to move I was non-stop busy and while I was mindful of what I ate, I certainly did not track my food intake.

I arrived to my new home about two weeks ago... and everything seemed to go wrong. Within the first day was wallet was stolen and my debit card was used, it was looking as though one of my loans wasn't coming through, my Peace Corps application was missing paperwork, and I missed my family/friends. So where do I turn? Food. And wine. And lots and lots of it.

I am a little ashamed and disappointed with myself that I allowed everything to get so far off track. I know I have gained a couple of pounds back, but I want to start anew. Today is the first day I am actually taking a yoga class at a studio, and it is the first real exercise I will have had since I have been here (other than walking everywhere). I'm very excited.

So I am asking the MFP community for a little bit of support as I try to get back on track... words of encouragement, support, and tough love. Thanks
