It's true what they say about after turning 30 everything slows down! I've just begun counting calories and am one month in on my gym membership doing what my trainer tells me. My profile picture is from June 2011 and hopefully by next June these stubborn 40 "baby" pounds will be gone for good!

Commitment to exercise and portion control has helped me lose 24 so far. Looking to lose another 20, Keep on keeping on and stay committed. We slip once in a while but don't let it get you down. I look at it this way I didn't gain the weight overnight and I will not lose it quickly either. Nothing is off limits for me. I just tell myself one bit will be enough and either give the rest to my husband or throw it in the trash. And don't feel guilty about it! Good luck.0
