Daily Calorie Deficit is in red numbers0 -
Calorie deficit is how many calories a day you need to eat under your maintenance calories in order to lose the amount of weight you want to lose. 3500 calories is a pound of fat. So in order to lose a pound of fat a week, you need to eat 3500 calories below maintenance. Maintenance is your Daily calories burned, that's what you eat in order to maintain your current weight. Your daily goal takes your weight loss goal into account, dividing the number of deficit calories by 7 to make a manageable daily deficit (500 calories a day for a 1 pound a week loss, 1000 for 2 pounds, etc..)0

ok.. explain this...
My daily activity burned calories is 1890 and my consumed calories is 1200 my daily calorie deficit is 690.
....so I need to eat 690 less than 1890 to lose 2 lbs a week? which is 1200 right? but it projects me at 1.4 lbs a week. ????0 -
MFP won't let you go under 1200 calories a day so since you picked to lose 2 lbs a week, the system only gave you a 690 calorie deficit instead of the 1000 you would normally get for the 2 lb loss.
Clear now?0 -
