Keeping on track with a broken shoulder

I've broken my shoulder is a biking accident and am looking for ways to keep fit and toned... With one arm! Thankfully I am only in a sling and have gotten back quite a bit of mobility, but I am still fairly limited. I am normally a runner, cyclist, hiker and aerobics fiend, so am finding it hard to be so sedentary. I'd love to find ways to get my heart rate up, burn calories and get toned. I've also had to cut my calorie consumption since my activity level has gone down, so any tips in that regard would be great. Thanks everyone! :)

Do you have access to a stationary recumbent bike?? My mom has one that I have used before and it requires nothing from the upper body and really engages the core.

    Elliptical? Stair Master?

If you have access to a gym, pretty much any of the cardio machines that you can balance on with one arm I would think.

Hmm, a toughie. Just looking down my list of high calrie burners for you, hang on...

... OK, how about running up and down stairs till your legs can't take it any more? Walking (at pace) is another. I suppose swimming is out of the question?

    Hope this helps.

Thanks so much! Do you have a list of high calorie burning activities?
