Calorie changes along the way

I think I just learned something. After loosing 14 lbs, I noticed that the amount of calories I was awarded for my exercise decreased for the same activity and the same time period.

That made me wonder about my food intake and so I went through the goal setting program again and to continue my weight loss, MFP cut down my daily intake quite a bit, which surprised me.

I guess the rest of you probably know this, but that was something I had not realized before.

this is because you cant go lower than 1200 as this is the minimum the body needs to be healthy

It should not go below 1200 ever. As I understand it that is the bare minimum to keep your body going, less than that is starvation.

It will never drop below 1200 for recommended calories. I think that is supposed to be the healthy limit. Of course if you're really short. . . . (I am, and as I approached my goal there were days that I ate less than 1200, even though that is not recommended).

It's really a bummer that as you do better, you get less "exercise calorie reward"! But I'll still take being skinny over getting to burn more calories!

    Good luck to you.
