Hunger

Do you ever have those days that you can't stop being hungry? No matter what you eat? I don't want to keep eating everything around, as it's only mid-afternoon and I've eaten all but say about 300 of my allotted cals. Going to go for a run a little later and gain some back, but I physically don't know how I'm not going to go over today. My stomach is just grumbling away. It's weird because I ate a decent amount of fiber and some fats/protein (almonds) today. I should be feeling fuller than normal, right?
Also, do any of you actually schedule in a cheat day? I'm just trying to reconcile what may happen here today haha.

drink more water. my stomach senses thirst and hunger the same way. I also believe in cheat days though i have taken too many and fell behind.
I get food cravings so often my cheat day may be something really high in calorie that i offset buy only having half of it.
good luck and remember one bad day won't kill you. get through today and start clean and fresh tomorrow0 -
I don't schedule in a cheat day per se, but I have had 'blips' regardless. Don't worry about it, overmuch, unless it's a regular thing. Contact me if so...0

Try eating a big breakfast with lots of egg and/or egg whites and maybe some toast. Carbs will fill you but you'll also have al lday to burn those off. Fiber is also very filling. For lunch today I had an entire can of black beans mixed with leafy spinach and lots of spices. I ate until I couldn't eat any more and it was VERY low in calories. It's high in sodium but if you drink enough water you should be okay and VERY FULL!0

Yeah I have those days. I eat but I still am hungry. As long as they aren't too often (and they aren't) I don't worry too much about it. I try and drink a large glass of water and if I am still hungry ten minutes after that I will eat some carrots or something. Some times when we want to eat it is all mental and some times it is really our bodies trying to tell us we need to eat.0

I'm in the same boat today. I drank 3 glasses of water this morning after my breakfast because i was STARVING and that held me through until now. Hopefully I stay on track. Im gonna be 140 cals over today though regardless just bad planning on my part0

Yeah, it was yesterday. I tried to control it as much as I could but I went over. I wanted to eat everything. It happens. I'm actually proud I did as well as I did. It could have been a lot worse.
I don't schedule cheat days but they do happen. That's life. If you scheduled them what would you do when something comes up like an extra hungry day or a invitation to dinner, or something?0 -
What type of foods are you eating? If you're not eating the right foods, you will be hungry fast. You should eat carbs that are low in Gylcemic Load (GL), so that way they last longer in your stomach. For instance Oatmeal is low GL food, and you can eat a good amount of Oatmeal porridge with lots of berries and a tablespoon of sunflower seeds, and some honey or agave syrup. This will last in your stomach for at least 3-4 hours. It's also low calorie.
Eating 3 meals a day with 2-3 snacks is a good way to go. You shouldn't go more than 4 hours without eating..0 -
thanks everyone. I think it was water. Drank a lot and stopped chewing gum (which sometimes makes me hungry, I think) and it got better. My stomach isn't hungry now, but I still want to eat everything..haha0

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. The last 24 hours for me have been CRAZY! I've been eating proteins, veggies, snacks...all kinds of stuff and STILL been hungry. The one thing I wasn't doing was drinking alot of water (only 5 glasses or so). I had also been working out pretty hard the last few days so I don't know if my body was hungry from all the calories I loss  I have no suggestions but I do sympathize with you.0
