How healthy is shrimp? Is it a good choice while watching calories?

It is very low calorie, low fat, but I believe it contains a bit of cholesterol. I had shrimp and clams last night.0

Goodness yes! Loads of protein for few calories, low fat and darn tasty!
I always keep a bag of frozen prawns (as we call them in the UK) in the freezer - they defrost under running cold water in about 10 minutes, perfect for risottos, stir fries, pasta sauces.
I rustled up a rather marvellous meal this week using a tin of little shrimp: I added them to some leftover sweet potato mash, gave it some Thai flavouring with chili and fish sauce, formed little patties and fried. Wow, they were good!0 -
Excellent choice! Shrimp is high in protein and low in calories!0

My only issue with shrimp is that it can be pretty high in sodium0

? Three ounces of shrimp (about a dozen large shrimp) has about 120mg of sodium.
It also has 17 grams of protein, 10% of your daily iron, and only 90 calories and 1g of unsaturated fat. If you're not a vegetarian, it's about one of the greatest things you can eat.0
