Hi everyone. Last year I lost approx. 15-20 lbs using MFD. A few have come back but now I'm looking to really knock out the last 10 lbs that I want to loose. As most of you know, the more you've lost, the harder it seems to take it off. Can anyone share what's worked for them in that last losing stretch? I'm looking for some inspiration!!

FYI - I'm 5'8" and 35 years old. Starting wieht was 157lb, lowest weight was 139lb, current weight is 144lb.

Thanks!
Christine

I'm in the same boat - sorry don't really know as those last few pounds are SOOOOOO hard to shift!! Good luck.

I think at this point, the goal should focus on body fat percentage and not the scale. The number on the scale means nothing; it's how your body looks & how you want it to look that matters. It may very well be that you look "softer" than you would like to; in that case, strength straining and building muscle is going to be the best option for you.

    Hi there!

I'm in a similar boat and we have similar stats. I'm 5' 7" and 140 pounds currently and have been STUCK here for over a year. Just know it's going to take time and be very patient! I've recently switched my mentality to lowering my body fat rather than dropping more weight.

I am with you! I am 5'7" and currently weigh 149...my goal is 145 (I started at 175 back in February). The last 10 pounds have been slow to come off. I fight hard for every one!

My best advice would be to set MFP to lose 0.5 pounds/week. That is the only way I keep on losing consistently. Secondly, I have focused on strength training recently (pilates mat class) to get rid of my soft midsection, where before I was just doing cardio (brisk walking). I am less about the scale now and more about how clothes fit and how I physically look.
