I've drunk sugar-free carbonated drinks (soda/pop) since they were first launched in the 1980s. I don't deny that I'd happily slug down a litre of Diet Coke and munch my way through a packet of biscuits at the same time, but it wasn't the soda that made me eat. And I'd hate to think what size I'd be if I still drank full-fat Coke or took sugar in my coffee

Nowadays, I drink Dr Pepper Zero but I prefer it flat rather than fizzy, so I usually leave half a glass in the fridge overnight to de-fizz. If I'm on a thirst, I can drink a lot, but normally have just 2-3 glasses a day (less than 2-3 cans worth).

I've heard all the horror stories and that's exactly what they are... stories. If they were as toxic as some believe they'd never be approved by the FDA or EU food standards committee. But as with everything we consume, it should not be done to excess and having a couple of glasses a day should not going do you any harm... unless you've been advise by a physician on medical grounds not to drink carbonated drinks. :drinker:

I drink diet sodas every now and then. I really just stay with water. I really don't drink a lot of sodas, but than if I want to get a drink with some flavor I get a coke zero.
