    My neighbors have a compost out front and it drives me crazy! It's 100+ so it stinks and you have to really watch your pets in the yard because the next thing you know they have old rotting foods.

    No. The bums do it for me when they IMMEDIATELY go through my building's dumpster for cans/bottles when it's taken out on trash day. They can keep the CRV: they need it more than I do.

    No - my land is terrible for growing food.... its an old garbage dump that was reclaimed, but the soil is still sorry

    Compost? Trying (3 years now) but the man is making things difficult. Homemade compost that is too tall for me to stir.
    Have a Rain Barrel? I WISH! But it would so not useful here. Like 2 inches of rain this year so far.
    Have a Garden with... ya know... food? 3rd year in a row and unfortunately saddest one yet. Only lasted 2 months due to our lack of rain. Even with watering everyday could not keep it alive. Was so pretty too.

    Also, make my own cleaning supplies, shampoos, soaps and use soap nuts for laundry and degreasing...........

    How about building some raised garden beds and having some suitable soil brought in???
