But I'm proud of myself. I was so hungry today after lunch today. It was the hungriest I've been in months. And I was ready to toss a few days of hard work down the drain and eat about 1000 calories of ANYTHING - and suddenly I thought, "Knock it off. So you're having hunger pangs. You've eaten 2 meals and a snack already, plenty of calories so far, and carbs, and protein, and fat, and it's all good stuff so you can't claim to need more nourishment. You're not dizzy, or tired, or sick, or anything. It's just a few hunger pangs. Deal with it." And I drank (another) big glass of water and was fine until dinner.

I'd never talk to another person like that, but I'll tell myself off in a heartbeat.

  • good for you! I know I have to struggle with myself like that too; especially in the last month.
  • You were very strong. I give you a lot of credit. When I'm hungry I need to eat something. I don't like the feel of being hungry.
