Hey all,
I just started my first day of P90X (Core Synergistics) and I hate to admit that I could not do as many reps full on like they did on the video. I workout regularly, but this just whipped me. :blushing: Have any of you females had any luck with losing inches/weight from this workout? I see a lot of comments from guys about it, but am interested to hear from the ladies! I really don't have a lot to lose, 10 lbs, but never the less, I want it gone. Have any of you women had any success with it? I sure hope it gets easier as I keep doing it! Fweeww

I haven't done it myself, but some girls I know have done it... and I hear it worked for them (although they were already in pretty good shape). I've thought about doing it... my thought is that if you can't quite do it all right away, just do your best.0

I did P90x last year and it really does work! It's super hard at first, but after the first month you will find that you can do a lot more reps and the exercises will get easier for you. And remember, just do your best and forget the rest!0

I'm starting week 4 of p90x today so I haven't yet taken my measurements though I will do so once I reach the 30 days. As far as weight goes, I've lost about 9 pounds so far. I've also seen changes in my body that I hadn't seen before. My arms are toning, my abs look like they have hope (after having a baby) and my legs are definitely looking much more toned. Although I'm not sure I can call them toned yet but I can see the muscle and a better shape. I love the results I'm seeing.
My jeans, which used to fit me glove tight, now fit me loose. Hope this helps!0 -
I didn't take measurements on my first round but didn't lose any weight and went from size 6 to 2, am at a 0 now after insanity. I did it really for fitness reasons - I took 1:30 MPM off my 1/2 marathon time and my endurance was SO much better.0

Lica, that is great! Sounds like you've been successful at it. Are you using the classic, doubles, or leans schedule? I know all too well how having a baby can change your body. However, I always bounced back after my two pregnancies. My problem has been since I hit 30 my body decided to gain weight. Now I really have to watch what I eat and workout to get back my 20 something body! lol. Thanks for your reply. It really helps and gives me hope.0

mlb, I ordered Insanity through ebay, but they sent me P90X...that is why I'm asking about it. I really, really wanted Insanity, but that ebay seller is no longer registered and think they just screwed me. So, here I am trying the P90X thing. Congrats with your Insanity results!!0 -
I lost a lot of inches all over with P90X. I only lost 4 pounds the entire 90 days but my inches went down significantly!0

I do the p90x and Insanity workouts! After my 1st round of p90x I lost an 1 1/4 inches in my legs and 3/4 of a inch in my arms. I actually gained 6lbs. with p90x, but have lost 9 sense starting INSANITY! I have worked out religiously for year, but since adding these workouts I have noticed many changes in my body. I also hike, run and bike alot and I've noticed the difference in my stamina, energy levels and strength.
Have fun with it and good things will happen!0 -

I have done both workouts. With P90X I did three rounds and lost both inches and weight. I lost around 12 lbs. I then got pregant and to get back into shape I started back with Insanity and have lost 22lbs. I am by far in better shape with Insanity than I ever was with P90X. Once you get through P90X I recommend trying Insanity.0 -

Wow! That is great! 22 lbs! I plan on getting Insanity soon to see which workout I prefer. I have noticed in posts where women tend to lose more weight with Insanity. It seems like P90X makes people bulk up a little more than Insanity. I just want to tone and lose a few lbs, not necessarily bulk up muscle. Great job on your workout success!0
