  • When I'm hungry I eat a tomato with salt and pepper or an apple.

  • apple sound good thanks
  • I'm allergic to apples
  • Poor you, apples are awesome.

But thoes Christmas orange are great too :)
  • thanks again the apple worked I really want this so I must reprogram my mind
  • I know... I have weird allergies. I can drink apple juice, or eat apple pie, but raw apples make my throat close up and my face break out in hives.

Still, every once in a while I can't stand it anymore and I eat an apple. They are SO YUMMY. Mmm.

It happens with lots of fruits actually.

Sometimes, when I am hungry (like, right now for instance), I just try to feel the feeling. Of course, doing what I can to alleviate it without taking a huge chunk out of my calorie allowance, such as water and fruit, or a couple crackers, but sometimes, you should just let your body feel hungry.

The sensation of hunger is not an emergency, ladies and gents, to be quelled at the first opportunity. It's a signal. That signal can be used to ascertain what the body needs. Sometimes, it's thirst. Sometimes, it's a flag that the body is going to be needing food sometime within the next hour (or so). If you are on a 6-meal per day eating plan, it really IS no more than an hour, because you have your body trained to eat LESS every few hours, so you really don't have anything in reserve.

Do you know that if you ignore that feeling long enough, it'll go away? And that's NOT a good thing (just some interesting trivia) -- when your hunger sensations shut down with no satisfaction, your body is entering survival mode - lack of hunger sensation is a biologically induced window for YOU to go DO SOMETHING about your hunger without the distraction of gnawing hunger pangs. Cavemen most certainly wouldn't have been able to bag prey big enough to feed a bunch of cavepeople with gnawing hunger pangs disrupting his hunt!

Enough of history. It's enough I have to find a variety of soft mushy food to eat while my extractions heal! garrrrr... enjoy!
