Stronger, Better, Faster challenge - Dec 19th

I'm awake first! I couldn't sleep this morning (it rarely happens), so I just got out of bed.

Yesterday, I went for a walk in the park and saw the city holiday lights. They don't come on officially until 7pm, so it wasn't in full splendor, but it was nice. Because of the gift wrap fundraiser, I rarely get to do anything around the holidays, so that was nice. Today is gym and maybe a walk since I'm up early. The goal for the rest of the week is to get a 30 minute yoga session in. Next week's goal will be to get at least 2 yoga sessions in (first one is easy, as I'm teaching the class, but motivating myself to do yoga over Christmas, not so easy).

    I get to get out today! I get to get out today! :bigsmile: Okay so I am just going to see the midwife and get more blood drawn but it's suppose to be beautiful today (74*)! I am also going to run up to Walmart and get my hubby's present and maybe a shirt or two for my step dad. It will be 15 minutes tops, but it will still be nice to get out! I may let Alex play in the backyard and I will sit out there for a few minutes. That may be pushing it but I will just have to play it by ear. It will be 36* on Sunday for a high so I want to enjoy this day as much as I can! I am also going to ask my midwife if there are ANY exercises I can be doing. Anything. I don't care what it is. I stepped on the scale yesterday morning and I'm not going to say how much I've gained. Of course I had pizza the night before so that might explain the weight gain. I do not want to hit 200 pounds this pregnancy. I am already getting too big for my jeans. I don't know that you could say I am already showing but my tummy is definitely bigger! It scares me! I am going to try harder to watch what I eat today. No emotional/boredom eating!
    I hope this weekend we can at least ride around the neighborhood and look at the lights since I can't walk. Alex would really enjoy seeing them. I'm pretty envious of you guys getting to work out. lol

    Oh man am I jealous of 74 degrees. . .we're getting a snowstorm on payday, but neither snow nor wind nor dead of night will prevent me from going to handout those paychecks (or in canadian: paycheques, which I can't get used to)

    I've set a goal of three workouts per week and as much activity as possible until my life gets back to normal. If I workout tomorrow, I'll make that goal for the week. As the stress is taking weight off me and I'm very active during my days, I'm taking it as a well deserved training break. (hey, Michael Phelps is doing it. . .:tongue: )

    So, today I'll get a very snowy walk in, drink my water and take my vits.

    HEY!!! I am loving Florida now!

    The trip was ok...I snacked a lot so that wasn't good...but oh well. I am excited because a friend of ours is a recruiter for the Army and is still doing PT with a few of the guys who are joining and need help in that area. So most week days we are going to be doing PT with them and I'll get some of a workout in! Plus...the weather here is great so I'm going to start bike riding or walking the dogs in the morning since most of everyone sleeps in.

    Yesterday I did not stay in my cals again :grumble: I lived on molasses cookies... but my weight still went down haha

    I called my mom this morning and I hope to get their dog! A big st.bernard named baby! I want to take her out for walks and jogs with me! I think it will be awesomeness!!!

    So everything is looking good pregnancy wise and hormone level wise, but I am still on bed rest. I guess until the spotting stops. I went to walmart for less than ten minutes (that's my 50 cal burn for the day) and I was feeling dizzy. I know that can be normal but I didn't like it. It was nice to get out while it lasted. I'm going to open a window in a minute, so I can still get some air.
    On the bright side, my levels are looking good! AND I still fit in my jeans! I feel like a total blimp! So that was encouraging that they still fit!
    I'm going to get lunch and lay down like a good girl. Later!

    Ok this is round 2, I had it almost done and lost my reply, that is so frustrating. I haven't posted because I haven't done much since getting back from my Mom's. We had a wonderful time visiting. I refuse to ride the emotional rollercoaster I'm feeling when I'm with her.

    Of course, now I'm at home and I'm and emotional eating wreck and I feel like I am wrecking all the good I did this last year and can't seem to stop.

    MM so glad to hear you got to go out, being cooped up is terrible. Vivia, are you getting snow again this weekend too? I am expecting some. So I will get an upper body workout whether I want to or not. lol

    So now we are waiting to see what the pet scan says and then they are probably going to do a biopsy. I will probably be going back and forth for a while. I'll probably know more in a week.

    My only goal this next week is to get all the baking I need to do done and some yoga for the relaxation. That and my waters. The scale will have to be ignored until after Christmas, then I will worry about getting back on track. That will probably be my New Year's resolution. Have a Merry Christmas to all if I don't get back here. You just never know. Take care.
