keeping in check over the holidays

I was worried I wouldn't be able to do well over the holidays. My mom cooks amazing things and I want to eat them all! I decided that I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't gain any weight, and if I didn't loose any, it would be ok.

I also started running stairs before I came home so that I could have some sort of work out when I got to Oregon, especially since it has snowed almost 4 inches and I can't do my regular runs on the streets. I did my first stair running in our barn this morning and it wasn't bad at all! In fact, it went by super fast, and once I got going after 5 min I wasn't even cold. I was able to do my full work out and burn about 600-700 calories! And as far as goodies go, as long as I make sure to eat them moderately and burn those calories almost daily, I will totally be fine over the holidays.

Anyway, I know we are all having a hard time w/ this one and so I just wanted to say that even during Christmas there is a way to stay on top of things!

Good luck to all of us! :)
