Babywearing

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should log calories burned by babywearing?

I carry my son on my back (in a carrier, of course) to my babysitting job.

He's >20lbs, and it's between a 25-30minute walk.

I would use the option of carrying an infant or 15lb load, but he's definitely heavier than 15lbs.

Any suggestion?
Thanks!

I have used the "carrying 15lbs" option, but I usually find it gives me more calories burned when I just use my speed. My daughter is about 21lbs. I just figure whatever more calories I use than what it gives me are just a plus to me. You could get a heart rate monitor and see how many to know exact #. Sorry, I know I'm not much help. That's just what I do. :)

I've been thinking the same thing, I carry my 2 yr old (25 lbs) on my back in the Ergo for usually a 1-2 hour walk each day. I usually just input the walk as normal walk and choose my speed, but I KNOW I'm burning additional calories!

I have no answer to this but would definitely be interested in knowing if you find something out because I do that with my son who is also 20lbs.

You can just use another calories burned calculator and where it asks for your weight add your child's weight to your own.
