How do you - extreme work out - guys feel about liquid protein supplements? Is it really making a difference in cut versus eating real food with the same amount of protein? I'm curious as I haven't supplemented in many years.

If we're talking about protein shakes, I'm allll for them. When you have a high level of working out, and you have to consume a fair amount, it can be a great tool to get the amount in you need. Or if you're short on time, it helps too, you can take them on the go, and make them while you're out etc, and not have to stop what you're doing.
I use them daily, and am all for it!

For some circumstances it's absolutely necessary. Very few people have enough time on their hands to go about preparing high protein meals, and most snackable high protein foods contain obscene amounts of sodium (cottage cheese, beef jerky, etc).

It helps a lot to make protein requirements. That being said, they suck when you're cutting because they don't keep you full as long as real food.

It's your call really. Most fitness people would be all for it though!

I prefer to eat my calories unless there's alcohol involved. It has been a challenge, however, to get enough protein without shakes.
