Clicking ankles?

I didn't really know where to post this but yeah here I go.
Ever since I can remember, my ankles have clicked when I walk. I've never seen a doctor about it because it's not put me in any kind of pain but I was wondering if maybe I should see a doctor.

Does anyone else have this?
Or could anyone tell me what it is?

I do too, my physio says it is ok- is gas escaping from the joint - I have chronic Achilles tendonitis, and thought the clicking was bad, mine sound like my foot might fall off!!! It is lubricating your joint - something he gave me to do is when sitting on the sofa draw the alphabet with your big toe, it helps keep the joint supple, also drawing circles in both directions too. If you worry about your ankle strength try using a wobble cushion they are brill

My right ankle sounds like a ratchet, has done for as long as I can remember, but its not painful..its my slient left that gives me pain:laugh: I have written the alphabet with both feet for years, thought it was just a little weird thing that I did - who knew it was good for me!
