Ok!! her is the problem, I'm not actually sure if I should be trying to consume all of my daily calories goals that I'm given after logging in my workout schedule snd meals. If I am then wow! it seems like a lot of calories that I'm eating, since in the past I was the type of person that ate 1x mabey 2x's a day. Can some please help me understand.

From what I know from experience and other posters, yes you should be eating most of your exercise calories. The reason being that MFP has already created a "deficit" of calories in the program, when you don't eat your exercise calories, you are technically going to start putting your body thru "starvation" mode, which is not good for your body. Hope that clears it.0

Thank you, for the reply. I thought that was what MFP stated when I signed up, but like I stated earlier it just seemed like some many calories that i have to comsume to meet my daily calorie goal.0

Look at it more as "fuel" for your body, especially if you are exercising. Your body needs those extra calories to keep functioning. Good luck and feel free to ask more!0

This is where I'm confused too! I started out with calories, exercised and was able to eat 325 more calories. Example:
1,200 Calories per day
plus 325 Calories earned for exercise
1525 Total Calories
minus 800 Calories eaten
625 Calories left over (includes left over carbs, protein, fat)
So what am I actually needing to eat? I too am just used to eating 1 meal a day (junk) and my metabolism went into starvation mode then I gained weight. It's so confusing!!!!

Yes you need to eat your all of your 1200 calories and most of your exercise calories. Also try to eat 3 times daily. Start with breakfast. Even if it's just yogurt and a serving a walnuts. That will help your towards attaining your daily calorie goals
