Does water actually help in weight loss more than NOT drinking water? If so...I'm drinking MORE! lol
I know it cleanses a lot faster.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance~

I know that if you drink ice cold water it takes more calories getting the water up to body temp so that burns a fair few calories! and It contains a lot of weight so you feel fuller for longer if you drink water because you feel your stomach and mind into thinking you've eaten calorie rich foods when in face its just the water weight. So i guess it does help you lose weight because if you feel fuller for longer then you wont eat as much :) xx

Yes it helps. I tend to drop more weight when drinking 12+ glasses of water consistently than when I drink 3-4. It helps keep the bloating down, clean out my system and gives me more energy. And even if it didn't really help, it doesn't hurt either. Your body needs water, especially if you're working out a lot. Better than empty calories! I only allow myself 1 caloric beverage per day and it is usually my iced coffee.

I heard if you don't drink enough water then you retain water when you do drink it which would be water weight. A lack of water also disrupts your digestive system so things don't work like they should.
I drink a lot of water now. I think I drink more since my allergy medicine makes me have dry mouth, otherwise it would be hard to remember to drink so much water.

I read on here that you need to drink half your weight in oz. (weight in pounds divided by 2 = number of oz and divide by 8 to get number of cups. The two days I was able to drink this much water I lost the morning after. So I go for more than 8 cups. It definitely helps if you get too much sodium too.

Based ONLY on my experience... Hell yes. I slacked off for a while and so did my loss progress. More water = Better is what I have now seen and heard about 1,000,000 times... And it just cured my water retention (I think) so it's my new best friend. Carrying a water bottle that is opaque and only has a drinking opening helps by not having to SEE it and just knowing that once the bottle is empty it's gone. Hah. In case anyone doesn't like drinking water usually like me. :P

8 glasses of water is a myth. I've posted this many times on here. You can keep a cup of water next to you all day while you are at work and drink when you are doing some sort of workout. But don't force yourself to drink more than you need.

I agree on all the benefits stated here in terms of water drinking. However, some people go wayyyy out of control with how much they drink.
