Christmas Vacation!

Hello Friends!
I have a confession - I went for an entire month without weighing-in or logging my food. And I gained 5 pounds. On January 4th I joined MFP with the intentions of losing 60 lbs before Christmas this year. And I was 4 TINY LITTLE POUNDS away from that goal when I decided to see what I could do "on my own." And apparently, I can gain 5 lbs a month instead of LOSING 5 lbs/month. I'm pretty upset with myself. I didn't eat super stupid - usually two "good" meals and then a lot more restaurant food than usual for dinner, cookies, sweets from the holidays, yada yada yada.
And now, in less than 48 hours, my husband and I are going to leave for 2 weeks to stay with my in-laws for Christmas and to visit with my family. We stayed for 5 days with them over Thanksgiving. They eat A LOT of take-out and fast food at their house, paired with very few fruits and veggies, and a lot of red meat and pastries (his mom always has cinnamon rolls on hand).
Is it totally wrong of me to bring some food or buy some food when we get there for me to eat? I feel bad anyway that we add two extra mouths for them to feed while we're there. My husband says, "just relax and enjoy the holidays." But I can't eat that stuff 3 times/day for 2 weeks. I just can't. I just want to get some skim milk (they're a 2% family), a couple boxes of my favorite low-cal, high fiber cereal, and some fresh fruit to keep on hand. Do you think that would be insulting?
Everyone there knows I've dropped weight this year. They all know I'm trying to be healthier. Will they understand? Or will they think I'm being uptight about it all? They don't have a treadmill or eliptical or anything, and it's supposed to be 6 degrees there on Monday when we get there.... not ideal jogging weather.
What do you all think? HELP PLEASE!!!

If they know you're trying to be healthy, I don't think they'd get insulted. Plus they might want some fruit if it's there. You could always ask when you get there, "I'm trying to eat healthy so I'm going to make a run to the store to grab some stuff. Is there anything I can get for you?" That way you get to eat healthy but you're also helping out if they don't have time for a trip to the store for last minute groceries that they might need.0

My mom invades our house for 2 weeks every year and I always buy special food for her. She cannot live without her oatmeal and tea in the mornings and she drinks milk (which we do not) among many other things she likes that we do not care for. Also, because we live in the south we fry a lot of food and since she is a yankee, she does not tolerate the fried foods very well so we tend to cook multiple meals when she is down. I don't think that there is anything wrong with purchasing your own food while you are there, especially since it is not like you are only going to be there for a day or two.0

Even a couple of days is to much for me to go without real food. I now bring things to my moms even if it's only the weekend. It's not even because I'm afraid so much of how much I will gain anymore. But the longer I eat healthier the less tolerant my body is becoming to processed foods and junk foods. I really start to not feel good.
So I say bring what you need to keep you healthy!0
