We had inbetween sizes......on a good day I'm a UK dress size 10.....on a bad day a 12, well nearly!!!!
A 10 will look tight and squeezed in, but a 12 good on The legs big and baggy on The waist
If only there was a size 11

I've always said I was a size 11. i think in different countries they have jeans for example to fit coca cola shapes

I have picked up skills on tailoring. Get the 12 and take in the waist.

yeah i know.
amazingly, and miraculously, i have got down to a uk size 12/14. some 14's are too big, and some 12's are too small. weird!
but i did recently get a pair of denim shorts, cant remember where from, and when i looked in them, it said size 13. think it was t-k-max. never seen that before though.

Well luckily for me I'm a seamstress so I do alter, just find it off in this day and age the sizes aren't re addressed x
