Saying hello as I start the journey after an ambivalent relationship with organized weight loss groups for profit.
Want to deal with weight loss on my own terms and without the message that I cannot do it without weekly weigh-ins and meetings.

As a young woman in my twenties (pre-organized weight loss group membership) I was very successful at maintaining a healthy weight by keeping a daily journal of calories. Although it is only day 1 on My Fitness Pal I am very comfortable with keeping track of calories, food and exercise on this site. Cautiously optimistic as a 63 year old I I proceed with determination to nail this issue once and for all.. Taking my body back and weaning myself off of the weekly weigh in grind and sessions that were not always targeted to my needs. So hi and look forward to meeting more peeps.
