Anyone using EA Active?

Hi all!

I'm new to this site and I've been tracking stuff for about a week. I just started using EA Active a couple of days ago as part of my workout routine (my boyfriend is a huge video game fan and bought it for me!) I think it's super fun and since I haven't really worked out in years, it helps me push myself! I was just wondering if anyone else has used it and if they had any success or good results with it.

A little more about me, I've been a vegetarian for 15 years and that's kind of a challenge for me with the weight loss. I always think that protein fills you up faster and longer. I plan on eating LARGE amounts of green vegetables for a while!

Also, how do we feel about "cheat days?" I'm apparently just full of questions tonight!

  • I've used it before- I really liked it. It did help when I wanted to exercise when there was bad weather. I want to use it again (with the weather being so hot).

    I use the EA Sports Active 2 on the Wii... and it's been pretty much all I've been using... and by the ticker in my signature, I think I'm doing pretty well!

    Suggestion for vegetarian friendly food: Quinoa. If you haven't tried it, it is excellent, and is a complete protein in a grain. It is excellent, and you can make lots with it. Personally, i've been making a breakfast cereal (Quinoa, cinnamon and raisins) and using it to replace meat/rice in stuffed peppers!

    I have days that I eat a higher amount of calories, but I work my butt off and do a harder/longer/higher burn workout to "deserve it". But that's just me! If "Cheat Days" work for you, go for it! I just can't do it, because it throws me off my "game" as it were.

    I use it! I love that I can choose a workout that's as hard or easy as I want, with the guidance I crave from following DVDs. I find the game gives me a bit more freedom though.

    Awesome! Thanks for the feedback, I've only done two workouts but I like it.

    I've had quinoa in my cupboard for over a year now but I never seem to remember to make it! Thanks for reminding me about it!
